Given the success of the previous edition, the second one has required a larger accommodation: the event has took place at the Grand Hotel Mediterraneo, on April 27th 2012.

IT4FASHION is a conference that focuses on the role of ICTs supporting the fashion industry. The event brings together the fashion companies proposing their successful case studies about the adoption of innovative technologies to the market or to their business.
The vendors of the ICTs solutions play also an important role within this scenario, as providers of advanced solutions and as triggers of competitive advantage for the fashion companies.

Elements of newness within the present edition are the origin of the Scientific Committee, responsible to schedule the event, the staging of a small exhibition area and a new location, larger, more comfortable and suitable to the conference aim.

The Conference has opened with the registration at 09.30. Then, the plenary session has hosted several institutional interventions of the exponents of the LogisLab laboratory and the University of Florence.
Later, three parallel sessions, which have been replicated during the morning and the afternoon. have followed the schedulation. 18 case studies have been presented by the fashion companies and by the industrial research laboratory LogisLab.
A Lunch buffet, from 13.00 to 15.00, has been offered within the same location of the Conference.

Finally, the event ended at 18.00 with a round table directed by the CEO and CIO of the main fashion companies belonging to the Scientific Committee.
