The fourth edition of the IT4Fashion Conference took place on April 3th 2014 at the Obihall theater in Florence.
The Florentine event has become over the time an important opportunity where IT Managers, Logistics Managers, University Professors can examine the actual and future perspectives of IT supporting the fashion industry.
Given the increasing number of participation requests, the event staff has selected a new location at the Obihall theater In Florence, where the available area and the ease to entrance and parking have guaranteed a better sharing of the contents and a number of 650 presences.
As in the previous editions, the event has hosted the plenary sessions concerning the topics of Product Lifecycle Management, virtualization supporting new product development and the ERP solutions capability to effectively manage Supply Chain.
Beside the plenary sessions, three parallel sessions (NPD/PLM, Supply Chain and Retail) have been presented, as usual. The main themes have concerned environmental sustainability, fashion product lifecycle management, monitoring of Key Performances Indicators (KPIs) in the Retail channel and the adoption of Business Intelligence solutions supporting supply chain management.
The event has been organized by the industrial research laboratory LogisLab directed by the Prof. Rinaldo Rinaldi from the University of Florence, supported by PLM Systems s.r.l.
In addition, the Scientific Committee has been involved in the scheduling and selection of the presentations. It is composed of the researchers and managers of the main companies belonging to the fashion industry.
