The fifth edition of the IT4Fashion Conference took place on April 24th 2015 at the Complesso Monumentale del Giardino delle Scuderie Reali e Pagliere in Florence.
The new location represents the best trade-off between the need to ensure an high capacity and the need to highlight the florentine cultural and historical context.

The event, focusing on the topic of innovation in the fashion industry, will be staged in a place interesting from an architectural viewpoint that will be able to host the increasing number of participants reported in the last years (up to 650).
Since five years from its birth, the event aims to round up and push into debate IT Managers, Logistics Managers, University Professors on the actual and future perspectives of IT supporting the fashion industry.

A Workshop, that will take place in the afternoon of April 23th, represents the news of the present edition: several seminars based on specific themes will be organized and a dedicated registration procedure will be provided.

As in the previous editions, the event will host the plenary sessions concerning the topics of Product Lifecycle Management, virtualization supporting new product development and the ERP solutions capability to effectively manage Supply Chain.
Beside the plenary sessions, three parallel sessions (NPD/PLM, Supply Chain and Retail) will be presented, as usual. The main themes will concern environmental sustainability, fashion product lifecycle management, monitoring of Key Performances Indicators (KPIs) in the Retail channel and the adoption of Business Intelligence solutions supporting supply chain management.

The number of case studies during the parallel session will be reduced from 18 (in the previous years) to 15, with the aim of allowing enough time for another intervention in the plenary session and of restoring the initial tradition to conclude the Conference with a Round Table. This will be the occasion to shed some light on the debated topics, on the emerging challenges and issues.

The event is organized by the industrial research laboratory LogisLab directed by the Prof. Rinaldo Rinaldi from the University of Florence, supported by PLM Systems s.r.l.
In addition, the Scientific Committee is involved in the scheduling and selection of the presentations. It is composed of the researchers and managers of the main companies belonging to the fashion industry.
