15th January 2020 - IT4Fashion and WhichPLM are thrilled to announce that the tenth edition of the luxury-focused technology event will take place in Florence, Italy, on the 4th and 5th March 2020, and will serve as the launchpad for an enduring content partnership and an entirely new publication: The Interline.
Taking place at the 14th century Florence Charterhouse (Certosa di Firenze) IT4Fashion 2020 will reveal a fresh take on the formula that has previously drawn large audiences from Italy and around the world. Around 350 delegates, representing a prestigious portfolio of fashion and luxury companies, will gather to see exclusive presentations, case studies, and panel discussions on-stage, as well as meeting with an extremely select group of technology sponsors off-stage.
The schedule for the event is being shaped by both the IT4Fashion Scientific Committee – including C-level figures from brands such as Gucci, Alexander McQueen, Valentino Fashion Group, Zegna Group, and Prada – as well as WhichPLM’s senior analyst and editorial team. Covering key technology topics and informed by first-hand intelligence provided by leading brands and retailers, the event agenda will align with the editorial calendar of brand-new publication The Interline.
Conceived by the fashion technology experts behind WhichPLM, The Interline will officially launch at IT4Fashion 2020 with live, detailed coverage of the event and a special editorial focus on how the luxury industry is transforming itself with technology – from enterprise-wide transformation projects, to more niche revolutions in digital design, digital print, and personalisation.
An entirely separate publication to WhichPLM, The Interline will cover the entire fashion technology spectrum, leaving WhichPLM free to focus in greater detail on PLM-specific thought leadership and analysis. Following its launch month luxury-focused coverage, The Interline will go on to feature editorials and interviews on the technical and aesthetic aspects of 3D, the future of industrial robotics, a new era of sustainable fashion, how machine learning is redesigning ecommerce and search – and much more. All of this will run alongside the PLM-focused content that has made WhichPLM one of the fashion industry’s most recognised technology publications.
The Interline will also continue to collaborate with IT4Fashion throughout 2020, creating a joint community that will encompass mass market brands and retailers as well as a who’s who of the European luxury industry. As the year continues, The Interline will provide IT4Fashion delegates with regular analysis, exclusive interviews, announcements, and other material that will keep them informed and educated on how to make the most of their investments in technology.
Together, The Interline and IT4Fashion will mount an event tailored for the luxury industry, and launch a publication with something for everyone with an interested in technology for fashion – from the designer to the executive.
