IT4F 2020 - 02/12/2020 12:00

The use of RFID and IoT technology to monitor Ducati fleet vehicles (2500 owned motorcycles used in tests, races, explosions and fairs).

Objective: To automatically recognize motorbikes at established control points, whether on the move or transported. Constraints: heterogeneity of moving vehicles, from the moving motorcycle to the van, to the multi-storey tarpaulin truck covered or covered

Automatically recognize the motorcycles at the established control points, both on the move and transported Constraints: heterogeneity of the moving vehicles, from the moving motorcycle to the van, to the multi-storey tarpaulin or coated articulated lorry Used technology BLE BluEpyc.

BLE features:

- Ability to locate the position and direction of movement of a motorcycle

- Possibility of locating the motorcycle in the control points even within relatively shielded environments, for example in a closed van Easy installation of the gates and extension of the control points in the factories

- Entrance control / exit of personnel using fleet motorcycles.

Project Plan: 10-11 / 2019 project feasibility analysis and technical checks, 12/2019 - 01/2020 equipment installation for tag reading, 02/2020 rfid reading test on motorbike, 03-04 / 2020 go live on part of the fleet , 05-10 / 2020 integration with tms thesis.

Results: punctual monitoring and tracking of the entry / exit of all the bikes in the fleet with active pro alerts and anomalies and delays management.
